Customer Ratings: - Best Game Ever. I have purchased many games for my DS, but this is the best one yet. I have been playing it now for weeks and find it hard to put it down. Even my husband, who doesn t usually play games is enjoying it. You ll absolutely love it. It s well worth the price.
- Fun for everyone. I had played Peggle on my Mac and also on my iPod and absolutely loved it, so when Christmas time rolled around, I decided to get it for my Dad. He has a DS, but he s never been a huge gamer, so I wasn t sure if he d like it or not. Turns out, he LOVED it.
Pros: *You get both Peggle, and Peggle Nights in one game, which is a great value. *The price of the item is significantly lower than most other DS games.
Cons: *I think the controls on the iPod are better, but that s just me.
Summary: *Turns out it s not just addictive for gamers, it s addictive for EVERYONE! - Worth the money!!!. I really like how this game remains challenging. Has lots of modes of play. I haven t gone thru all the stages of the game yet. Now my favorite game to play.
- Fun Game...But Can be both Addictive and Frustrating!. This is a very addictive game. I have played several computer versions, and this Nintendo DS game is a version of games that have been available for Mac and PC for some time. It s a little trickier to line up your shots with the small screen of the DS, but the publisher of this version did a GREAT job of providing a zoom shot if you hold your stylus on the lower screen for an extended period. Presto - no more problems planning those tricky shots! Beating some of the Challenge levels is TOUGH - but helps decrease your cost/games played ratio if that makes you feel any better. Enjoy!
- Watch out for the ricochet!. For those of you caught up in the pinball comparison, this game really has nothing to do with pinball - except pachinko is labeled as Japanese pinball, and this game is similar to pachinko.
The skill involved is aiming the ball before putting it into play. The rest of the action is out of your hands as the ball bounces until it drains. There is nothing you can do to keep it in play.
For me, this is not a game to play for more than one level at a time. I d prefer something that would keep my interest longer. It has a decent fun element and would be good for kids to study the angles of the shots.
Peggle Dual Shot is the only DS game with this type of play (that I m aware of). If you have played on another system and liked it, then this is probably a winner for you. If you aren t familiar with the format, try to play it before buying.
