Microcosmos [DVD] [1996]
顧客評価: - Utterly beautiful. I first saw this film at Glastonbury late at night.
I can think of no better place to watch it than in a field surrounded by nature (it even started raining at the same time in the film and the field we were sat in!) It is wonderful, truly beautiful, one of the few films I ve known make people not only laugh and cry but cheer outloud too. Words truly don t do it justice...
I think of it as some kind of middle ground between ballet/opera and the best david attenborough wildlife docos... :)
I ve seen it on tv still and it was equally good. I m now delighted to have been given a copy for my birthday... woo hoo. - Something Special. Ooooooooh this is so gorgeous, especially if you re recovering from illness, stress, feeling down, or just stuck in on a rainy day or listing to a childs first sentences. such as Stag beetle...fierce Bee orchid....Happy
Another of my favourite films. There are some special places such as ancient chalk downland at times when the surroundings buz and rustle. It absorbes and moves and uplifts you, this beautiful film does just that. - Captivating...larger than life, literally!. Absolutely brilliant. Free from all bias, which makes it all the more easy to simply sit back and enjoy the wonder of the world beneath our feat. The most amazing special effects in this are the stars themselves - what you see is ultimate beauty, mystery, complexity and simplicity - all at once.
Well worth a look! - And I thought my life was hard!. I bought this DVD to share with my retired father - and when he d seen it we shared it with a room full of cynical teenagers...who just melted into fascinated and awestruck silence.
They laughed out loud at the toils of the dung beetle, they flinched as the ants were eaten and they were amazed by the spider building its nest out of air bubbles under water.
This is a beautiful film which you will watch again and again -each time wishing there was more. If ever there was a family film this is it. - Microcosmos - the best film I ve seen in years. This film is absolutely spectacular. You might think that a whole film full of insect footage may be a bit too much but it isn t at all. It is just brilliant.
