• what did I do without it?. I love mashed potato but I hate it if it is full of lumps. There are some potatoes that will not mash down smoothly no matter how long or hard you mix and mash them. Problem solved with the potato ricer. It is impossible to get lumpy mash if you use it. The results are perfect every time. Oh! and mashed swede and carrot are divine. mmm! The all important cleaning? As it is stainless steel it s a breeze. I put mine in the dishwasher after rinsing the bits out, but if I don t think I shall have a load it is just as easy in hot soapy water.
