• Wonderful and helpful book!. Hi, I bought this couple of weeks ago. The delivery wasn t that quick but that s partly because I was in Australia at that time. The book is very helpful with lots of interesting and easy recipes for every day and for some special occasions. I liked the design of the book too , it s a bit old-fashioned so it goes with the idea of passing on the old recipes. Overall, really helpful for someone who wants to impress somebody or just make a really nice, easy and very healthy meal!
• Ministry of Food. I don t enjoy cooking but this book has got me going,I even took it on holiday with me to do some more of the dishes.My husband even compliments me on my dishes now. Thanks Jamie.
• Fast and fabulous. I bought this book as it seemed aimed at culinary idiots like myself. It is - the recipes are easy to follow and quick to cook. But the most amazing thing for me was quite how fantastic the food tastes, from microwave treacle puddings to Thai green curry. Most of my guests ask for the recipe, and that has never happened to me before. A great buy for yourself or anyone who likes food.
• my most used cook book ever. extremely accessible book, especially good for amateurs, with some more challenging alternatives once the basics have been grasped e.g. make your own curry pastes. Have made about half the recipes in this book in the 6 months of having it - so certainly doesn t gather dust like most of my cook books. I usually only try a few dishes from all my other cookbooks. If we re stuck for something to make, we just grab this and get inspiration. It s always off the shelf. My only complaint is that we ve gone as far as we can with this book now and it s time to move on and get some fresh ideas... bring out a Ministry 2!
• Jamie s Ministry of Food: Anyone Can Learn to Cook in 24 Hours. Bought as a gift for a departing work colleague who was photocopying her from fathers which she had bought for him last Christmas. She loved, loved, loved it- great present! Purchased from the UK as much cheaper than in Australia. Arrived in no time. All delighted.
