How to Feed Your Whole Family a Healthy Balanced Diet, with Very Little Money and Hardly Any Time, Even If You Have a Tiny Kitchen, Only Three ... - Unless You Count the Garlic Crusher...
Customer Ratings: - The Only Family Cookbook You Need. I am a rubbish cook. I try hard but my labourious efforts never taste that great. THIS Book changed all that. Quick meals, really tasty and much cheaper than shop bought versions. This book is really what it says it is.
- really useful book. A really great book. Very useful for busy people with no imagination in the kitchen. I like the four week menu plans. There are loads more recipes than just in the plans and like the cake recipes :-)
- Great book. If you re a cordon-bleu chef or were brought up at granny s knee making apple pies, this will be too basic for you, but as a good, sensible recipe book with lots of family-friendly, non-expensive ideas it is great. With all the doom-and-gloom merchants around, this book does a good job of showing you how to eat healthily, while not making you feel guilty about the odd packet of crisps. Some of the ideas will probably still be too time-consuming for some hard-pressed parents, but there s lots to choose from. Hey, anything that helps take the pressure off the dreaded weekly shop has to be a good thing.
- it does what it says on the cover!. What a great book. I have made loads of the recipes and they are easy and lovely. Recommended.
- Mostly for those who just discovered the kitchen. I bought this book because I hoped that it d help me with new ideas for menus for my family, plus would provide me with some new cooking tips. However, as somebody who s been having to cook meals from scratch nearly daily for years, and has done hundreds of packed lunches, I have found it a bit disappointing - there were no revelations in it for me.
It d would have been brilliant to have when I just had children, but as it was I already knew the recipes and had learnt lots of things anyway through my own trial and error. I would recommend it to new mothers or people who are quite inexperienced in the kitchen, it has no difficult recipes, is easy to read and all instuctions are easy to follow. But it s all relatively basic stuff and you are unlikely to learn anything new if you are not a novice in the kitchen.
