it would have been nice to be information on who was in the book and what thsy covered as it is very time consuming to look through. - a must for teaching assistants. this book is a must for anybody taking their teaching assistant qualifications ,it is easy to follow , has all important theorists that are covered in your college courses and is a book you can continue to look back on.
- How good is this book!!!!. Oh my, I had no knowledge of any theorists and this book has really helped me get to grips with the basics. I have even brought the rest of her collection. I just wish now she would write a book which was more indepth about all the theorists. I love the fact that she has them all in one book. I wish i had found this book when i was doin my NVQ3, but i have found it now and thats all that matters! get it if you do not know a lot about theorists!!
- Excellent book for student teachers. This book gives a broad insight into Educational theorists. Although it does not go into too much depth, it gives you a starting point and makes it easy to pick out the theorist your are looking for and give you a general understanding.
I would reccomend this book to anyone who is studying education as a starting point. - how children learn. a friend of mine recommended this book to me. she mentioned how linda pound has got all academic theories from vigotsky, john bolby, robert owen, piaget. this book is well presented, the layout of the theories is easy to read and its well structured. i liked how the educational theories were put into practice. this book contains everything you need to know about educational theory and psychology.it also looks at different views from an early years setting and the theories behind it. its one of the best books as it is packed with information.
