Customer Ratings: - Don t overload. Shredder is only good for light use. Only takes a max of 3 pages at a time or it jams.
- HSM X5 Cross Cut Shredder. Very pleased with product - apart from fact that if a lot of shredding is being done ensure that it doesn t get too full as it clogs up quite easily and has to be unclogged with a pair of tweezers.
- Do not be mislead. I m afraid I was influenced by other reviews and bought the X5 on the assumption that it would shred 5 sheets of ordinary 80 gsm copy paper - or thereabouts. This shredder runs out of puff when trying to shred 3 sheets it jams with 5 sheets. Not very good and should not be sold with the claim that it can deal with 5 sheets of paper. I have returned it immediatley whence it came. D Coleman
- Not up to spec. Agree with some other reviewers regarding price drop and build quality,i can see why it is for sale at such a low price, (jamming,overheating,no more than two sheets at a time to be safe only one at a time). Found this out very soon after first use even with oil and not using for more than a few minutes at a time. Not impressed. Do not think this shredder will last long.
- A good home shredder. Shreds several sheets effortlessly and doesn t tend to leave blades clogged like similar machines tend to. Gap in front of bin is useful to gauge and compress down contents.
