Food for Free (Collins GEM)
Zákazník Žebříčky: - Could be better. I was a bit disappointed with some of the picture in this book. Although the drawings were very nice I would have preferred more real photographs to help identify plants.
- Food For Free - it s a bible. Perhaps the first survival book, Mabey describes food you can forage for free from the UK wild. It was one of the base texts for A Cook On The Wild Side some years ago with Hugh Fearnsley Whittinstall (sp?), and been on our shelves (and latterly my car glove-box) for at least a decade.
- A Classic - this edition is ideal to put in the backpack. This is an inspirational book, it was one of the first and is still one of the best books in its class-a real classic. This edition is ideal for the backpack.
- A Classic. Excellent practical guide - packed with information - and very well worth the price. Have bought two.
- Fantastic free food. This book really is a gem. Full of free hedge row foods with sections on how to use / cook them for the best effect. Each plant has a nice picture and guide to what to look for. This said, it does miss some obvious edible plants which I would have thought people would want to know about and thus the 4 star rating.
