• Bright clear white Light. I bought two of these lights while they were on sale, I should have bought more. The lamp in this light is an Energy Star compliant 65 watt compact florescent mogul base with Coolux Technology that emits 500 watts of light. It has a florescent compatible nighttime on, daytime off photo sensor. The fixture can be surface mounted or it can be mounted on a 1 1/4 pipe with the included hardware. I used 5 feet of 2 PVC to a 90-degree elbow then reduced to 1 1/4 diameter eighteen-inch long stub to extend the height of the fixture from the top of my utility pole. I will buy more of these lights when the sale price drops below $50.
• Don t buy this light. When you read on-line about this product, it sounds great. I ordered one and was very disappointed when I received it. The plastic globe/shrould was in ten broken pieces and the bronze colered housing had a big dent in it. From the way it was packed, it looked as through Amazon had shipped it out to someone else and they recieved it broke, then they got it back and turned right around and sent it to me. You guys in the shipping dept. need to check things better before you ship them out. Very Disappointed.
