Broke in Boston: A Guide to Living Cheap in the City
Customer Ratings: - Good Resource. This is a great book for someone who is moving to Boston (college, etc.), there are a lot of inside tips. Boston can be a bit overwhelming for someone just arriving, so this is a good guide. A great gift for any college or recently graduated student.
- If only I had had this book 2 years ago!!!!. I recently lived in Boston right after college, and like many others, didn t have a lot of extra money but had a big appetite for fun, food, and drinks!! It took me years to figure out how not to discover an empty wallet after a night out in Beantown. A friend moving to Boston showed me this book to see what I thought. This totally hits all the great spots for inexpensive dining, dancing, drinking or just loitering:) ITs really well organized and fits easily in a purse or pocket for easy access. Well written, it has humerous and honest descriptions of the city. I ve been recommending it to everybody that s moving or just visiting Boston. A great find, and the best Boston guide out there right now!!
- A must-have book if new to Boston. Like Zagats.. but with a personality, and all-encompassing: including everything from restaurants, to night-life, to weekend excursions. We want broke in DC!
- Wonderfully Intelligent. This book details Boston, the places to hang, eat, and enjoy. It is a well detailed and laid out book to navigating a difficult city from nearly all social perspectives. I use this book all of the time and recommend it to anyone travelling through, living in and wanting to learn more about the storied city.
